Meet The Staff

Peaceful Partings is owned by Missy Jenkins, CVT

Missy Jenkins RVT is a native of Atlanta who moved to Colorado Springs in 2004. She fell in love with Colorado’s love for animals and all the wonderful Nature that this state has to offer. She has worked as a technician since 1996 in day practice and emergency room settings.

She first started a blood bank for dogs and cats, meeting the many needs of pets for 12 years. She transitioned into a home setting for end-of-life care after losing a pet in her home and realizing how calm and peaceful the transition process could be by having her dog in his surroundings.
This led to Missy purchasing Peaceful Partings in June of 2009. Her mission with Peaceful Partings is to provide comfort and peace to each pet and their families during their end of life. She has helped over 7000 families with their pet’s passing since 2009.

Peaceful Partings has remained locally owned by Missy and she handles almost all of the day to day phone calls, in home appointments and returns of loved ones. Missy enjoys spending time in Nature with her dogs, CrossFit, skiing, paddle boarding, and hiking. Her dogs are her comfort and she understands the importance every pet has in their families’ lives.

Experienced in Animal Care and Euthanasia Services

Missy gained valuable experience in pet euthanasia as a technician to Dr. Jodi Freifeld, who started Peaceful Partings in 2007. Dr. Freifeld relocated to Kansas in June 2009. At that time, Missy purchased the business, after seeing how many families they had been able to help. Peaceful Partings allowed families to be in their own home when their pet was ready to cross the rainbow bridge.

Helping you through a Very difficult Process
